The Kick-off meeting has been held on 20th - 21st September 2001 in Foligno, Italy, where the project has been officially presented to the partners' team. Soon after the project start, two external reviewers have been appointed by the Consortium: Professor Massimo Bergamasco of Scuola Superiore S. Anna, Pisa, Italy and Professor Willy J.G. De Weerdt, Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in order to highlight the main problems and to have an external and critic point of view on the work carried out.
The 1st Technical Meeting has been held in Melsbroek on 7-8 December 2001. The partners have agreed on the final structure of the important document D110, "The Review of the current rehabilitative methods", that gives a wide vision of the pathology, epidemiology and clinical overview of the rehabilitation process in Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Traumatic Brain Injury.
The 2nd Technical Meeting has been held in Barcelona on 22-23 April 2002. The meeting has been tailored to add additional clinical contents to D120 "User requirements in the rehabilitative treatment of Stroke, TBI and MS patients", in order to use these information for the definition of the technical specifications of the Home Care Device.
In conjunction with Milestone n°3: Mid term verification of system development, a meeting has been held in Messina on 30th - 31st October 2002. During the meeting, Riccardo Magni presented a wooden working prototype of the portable unit of the activity desk and demonstrated the system according to the selected exercises.
During the 4th Technical Meeting held in Barcelona on 2nd - 5th July 2003, the first prototype has been installed at Guttmann Institut. The demonstration has been carried out by explaining the system functioning for each exercise to be conducted. A second section tailored to test the system with patients has been carried out and the problems have been highlighted
The 5th Technical Meeting has been held in Melsbroek on 19 October 2003. During the meeting a discussion on the main project results to be presented at the Annual Technical Review (ATR03) has been held among partners. The key issues dealt with the complete overview of the project, the training phase results, the dissemination, the validation activities and the marketing strategies. Furthermore, the video conference software and a fully functional prototype have been presented.
The 6th Technical Meeting has been held in Trevi on 6-7 February 2004.
During the meeting FIG and UORIN made a presentation regarding the proper
starting of the clinical trials and the evaluation protocol to be followed.
