Sandro Scattareggia Marchese

CEO and Sales Manager

Mechanical Engineer

Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa (IT). Researcher and mechanical designer at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa (IT) and Consorzio Pisa Ricerche (IT). PhD from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK) at “CREST” Centre for Rehabilitation and Engineering Studies. Co-founder and general manager of SM Scienzia Machinale srl, Pisa (IT) and Signo Motus srl, Messina (IT). Scientific responsible of different European projects in the framework of TIDE, ESPRIT, 5th FP, IST, eTen, ICT-PSP and FP7 RoK programmes for the development of robots and robotic components as well as in the assistive technology field. Author of more than 40 international publications. Member of the Scientific Committee of the International Association for Development of the Information Society (IADIS) and of the European COST action on rehabilitation robotics.

Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Messina (2008). More than 5 years experience in R&D activities related to automation and system control, electrical and electronic systems design and software development. Software designer of Habilis tele-rehab platform (ICT-PSP CLEAR 224985). Main developer of control system and software for Assistive Technologies (Project IESS - FIT Lg. 46/82 MSE). Responsible of the activities related to the ongoing Company Quality Certification (ISO 9001:2008). Technical manager of the activities related to robotics, automation, bioengineering applications and smart materials based devices. Technical responsible and designer of electronic and control system for Electro Rheological Fluids (ERFs) based characterization instruments and for innovative ERFs related electro mechanical devices (Project ADHERE - PNRM 1294 Dec 2010).

Deep knowledge on software engineering and application design, in particular in web environment. Skilled in Java ecosystem, database design and maintenance, systems administration, network design and management, hardware infrastructure architectures. Decades of experience in development of complex production software systems.

Alberto Scandurra

Electronic Engineer

Degree in Electronic Engineering got from University of Messina in 1997 (110/110 cum laude). About 25 years of experince in the field of digital architecture and design, specifically in the field of Systems on Chip (SoCs), on-chip communication systems, micro-controllers and wireless chargers for mobile devices. Digital Architect and Designer at STMicroelectronics (Micro Core Development Division, Home Entertainement Division, On Chip Communication Systems group, Micro-Controller Division, Industrial and Power Conversion group) from January 1998 to September 2020. Digital Architecture and Design team manager within Analog MEMS & Sensors group - Dedicated Analog Custom division of STMicroelectronics from October 2020 to Februray 2022. Senior Member of STMicroelectronics Technical Staff from 2008 as worldwide expert in the field of On Chip Communication Systems and Digital Architecture and Design. Coordinator for STMicroelectronics of european projects WADIMOS (On-Chip Optical Interconnect, 2007-2010) and NAVOLCHI (Plasmonic Off-Chip Interconnect, 2012-2014). Author of 16 patents, 18 publications and participations at international conferences, and 2 chapters of technical books dealing with Systems on Chip and Silicon Photonics. With Signo Motus from February the 28th 2022.

More than 7 years experience in R&D activities related to Back End Of Line process integration. Experienced in project management, 2D and 3D electrical simulations, physics-based modeling, electrical characterization, control system design and programming.

Naval Architect and Marine Engineer

Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Trieste. Skilled in CAD modelling and CAE simulations applied for research and design purposes. Proficient in static and dynamic structural analysis by means of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques. Good knowledge of Fluid Dynamics and related Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) methods. Good expertise in industrial robots' simulation and programming. Sound experience on Additive Manufacturing processes and on smart materials based devices.

Fabrizio Francesco Oppedisano

Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Messina. Experties in mechanical design and 3D mechanical modelling. Sound knowledge in 2D design tools (Autodesk Autocad) and in 3D modelling software (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks). Skilled in Finite Element Method (F.E.M.) structural static and dynamic analysis using state of the art solutions (Autodesk Inventor, Ansys Workbench).Good knowledge in mechanical and electromechanical modelling and simulation tools (e.g. Matlab).
